Some of the questions I get asked
~Why do people want to take boudoir pictures?
A boudoir session is to celebrate YOU! The confidence you gain from a shoot is overwhelmingly empowering. The images you will receive are for you to celebrate who you are and all your beauty. It gives you a chance to do something for yourself (or a special someone in your life) and be pampered because YOU DESERVE IT!
~I'm extremely self-conscious, I don't think I could ever look like the women on your profile.
I can't count how many times people have told me that this is why they don't want to do a boudoir session. However, I have had plenty of those same women come into my studio and leave with a whole new mindset on boudoir! Trust me when I tell you that you will feel like the most powerful goddess on earth after your session. All the women on my page are REAL women, just like you and me. There is no required shape/size/age/etc. There is undeniable beauty in all different forms and colors and styles and types!! I FIRMLY believe that every woman out there DESERVES to feel confident, sexy and empowered by their body and that EVERY woman should do a boudoir shoot at least once in her life! I promise you'll understand what I'm talking about once you do a shoot!!
~What if I don't want my pictures to be online or on social media?
Say the word girl! I promise, I will NEVER EVER post a single photo or let anyone other than myself see these images unless you have given me written permission to do so through the model release you will fill out when you're at your shoot! It absolutely does not hurt my feelings at all if you wish to keep your images private, I'm just glad that YOU have them! If you wish to keep your images private, once I'm done editing them, I will send them directly to you in a confidential gallery. Then, after I have been informed that you have downloaded them for safe-keeping, I take them off of all my devices as well as an extra effort to protect your privacy. My top priority on top of helping you feel confident and beautiful, is to respect your boundaries and your wishes, no matter what! You are safe here!
~What should I wear and what do I bring?
Depending on which experience package you purchase, you'll need to bring at least that many outfits. If you are shopping and don't have any ideas as far as what kind of lingerie to buy or where to shop, please reach out! I've got an arsenal of lingerie websites that live in my brain and I will gladly help you select some to both suit you and your body type, and your personality! That being said, you DO NOT have to wear lingerie for a boudoir shoot! You could bring a white T-shirt and some sexy panties, or a cardigan, or your significant other's favorite jersey/shirt/hat etc! Even further than that, if you're comfortable with it, there's not much sexier than wearing nothing but a white sheet or your birthday suit as well...just saying! I will also have a few things like robes/button down shirts and such at my studio, and I will be working on building a client closet soon! It really just depends on your comfort level, your style, and what you'd like to see yourself in for these photos!
~Do I need to know how to pose?
Not one bit! Posing is an expertise of mine! I have taken classes and have years of experience in posing, so girl I GOT YOU!!
~Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely!!! In fact, I encourage you to! If you and your friends are anything like me and my friends, there is very little that we do without the other, especially when it comes to something that can make you feel a little vulnerable. Bring your bestie if that makes you feel more comfortable, that is 100% fine by me!
~I'm not gonna lie...I might need a drink beforehand
Dont we all sometimes! I totally understand that! I will have wine and champagne, along with water and other drinks and snacks for you during your shoot!With that, I do want to ensure your safety since I know you will most likely be driving yourself to/from your shoot, so I don't allow you to bring hard liquor or anything like that. Plus, even though we all think we're the hottest bitch alive when we're feeling a little tipsy...we almost always regret that when we see the photos the next day, and I don't want that for you! However, you are more than welcome to have a glass of wine or two or a mimosa, etc! I'll even have one with you!
~Do I have to show a lot of skin or be naked?
You can wear as much or as little as you feel comfortable with!! Boudoir is not just about being naked, lingerie, or showing a lot of skin. It's about emotion, confidence, and empowerment within yourself! So, if you feel the most powerful and confident in a ski jacket, then that's what you should wear! Most likely, that's probably not what you feel most confident in, but I'm just saying you shouldn't feel like you need to strip down completely if you're not comfortable with it. There are hundreds of thousands of ways to do boudoir! On the other hand, if you do feel most confident in your birthday suit, then we can totally do your shoot nude! I've been doing this for a long while, even despite having taken a break from it. I will never judge or make you feel uncomfortable no matter how much or how little you choose to wear!
~What is a couples session like?
Couples sessions are SO much fun!! It is such a fun and unique way to make memories with your partner that will last forever through your photos! In a couples session, I will coach you both through poses and wardrobe. If you have any ideas or inspiration you've seen beforehand or during the shoot, I am always open to ideas!! You each can wear as much or as little as you're comfortable with, and I can help coordinate each outfit.
As a preface before booking a couples shoot, I DO NOT shoot erotica or pornographic images/videos. I absolutely do not judge at all whatsoever if that is your thing, because I also think it's a super hot thing to do with your partner! I just do not feel comfortable with photographing/videoing that style of session, so I do not offer it.
~I want to book a couples session with my wife, but I'm afraid I'll get too excited...
I completely understand!! Sometimes things can get a bit steamy for couple's sessions, and erections are a completely normal response to seeing your partner in something that leaves little to the imagination. Hey, it happens!! All it means is that you like what you see, and that's the way your body was made to respond! If it is to happen during your session, we will take a moment to reset, have a snack or a drink and then go on to the next pose when you feel ready! Its just a natural response to you seeing how hot your partner is! That being said, if you do not pitch a tent during a couples session, you shouldn't ever feel like you should have or that you're expected to. It takes a lot of courage to get down into your skivvies in front of someone you don't know, much less someone you don't know with a camera! Don't sweat it! Even famous actors have stated that during their steamier scenes they don't get an erection because they have a camera on them and instructions to follow and people around!! Different bodies respond differently to different situations, and there's nothing wrong with that!!
~Where is your studio located
My studio is located right here in downtown lubbock!
